Grammar Section: Basic Sentence Parts

Reading Section: Review Charting the Text, paragraphs 1-10 of "Five Myths about Terrorists"
  • What does the author say?
  • What does the author do?
  • Students complete the remaining paragraphs at home.

Writing Section: Quick Write - Revenge
  • What would your best friend have to do to get you to seek revenge?
  • What would your best friend have to do to make you want to kill him/her?

Reading Section: "The Cask of Amontillado" page 87

Reading Section: Dialectical Journal "The Cask of Amontillado"
  • Due Friday, because this project will take more time.
  • Create a dialectical journal (with 3 quotations, just like the others).
  • Decorate and prepare your work as if it were found in the depths of Montresor's wine cellar after decades of being hidden.
    • Show students the Dialectical Journals from Night.
  • Begin planning and creating your dialectical journal.
